MIAMI–(BUSINESS WIRE)–EndFlex LLC. a Florida based packaging machinery manufacturer (www.endflex.com) has increased output to deliver its industry leading PopLok™ automatic tray formers to e-commerce giants in apparel, electronics, fulfillment, beauty, health, pet and home delivery meal kits as demand for online purchases has continued to grow month over month.

The PopLok tray forming machine is engineered to take flat corrugated tray blanks and automatically fold, tuck and orient them to make product loading quick and efficient.

Cardboard lidded trays are amongst the most popular choice for e-commerce companies due to their ability to withstand the rigors of transportation and most of all their high-quality presentation to the consumer.

The PopLok (https://www.endflex.com/fold-and-tuck-tray-former/) can produce up to 1,200 lidded cardboard trays an hour while greatly increasing production efficiencies. It can also be used to produce high end display trays used in retail stores to present consumer goods.

EndFlex Delivers Tray Lid Sealer for Furniture

EndFlex LLC, a full-service global provider of custom end-of-line packaging announces the ability to place and glue seal the lid on large pre-built trays loaded with furniture parts.

The system is designed to place a lid on top of formed trays, each weighing up to 150lbs, which are in turn fed into the packager. Hot glue is then applied to the sides of the tray and the lid is secured as the finished sealed tray exits the machine.

A finished tray measures up to 72’’ long, 48’’ wide, and 10’’ tall, requiring a heavy-duty design and robust machinery. Other notable features include Venturi vacuum technology, a servo-driven feeding mechanism, a powered roller tray conveyor, an Auto-idler, an Omron PLC, user-friendly HMI, and the Nordson glue system.

“We are pleased to design a range of custom tray lid sealing machines to best accommodate our customers’ unique needs – all backed with on-site training, service visits and validation services,” said Veronica Guzzo, Mechanical Engineer at EndFlex LLC. “This customized EZ-Glue tray lid sealer for 4-sided seal is a valuable addition to our portfolio. Ensuring 10 to 15 minutes’ quick size change-over between jobs, these sealers are ideal for large trays loaded with furniture parts and more.”

EndFlex Introduces Its New Z.ZAG Palletizer

EndFlex’s new Z.ZAG Palletizer automatically uses vacuum generators to pick up cases one at a time and place them on a pallet from above. Its suction capacity is capable of lifting 40-pound boxes at speeds up to 360 boxes per hour.

The position of each case is calculated automatically according to the desired pattern and the dimensions of the case; the Z.ZAG palletizer locates all cases on one pallet and upon completion will start filling the next pallet as the first pallet is replaced. Placing this end of line application at the end of each production line is less costly than using conveyors to transport cases to an expensive high-speed palletizer.

Designed to SCARA Standards in a compact footprint, the Z.ZAG is created for multiple pack patterns for both column-stacked and interlocked configurations. Servo-driven with PLC controls and a color touch screen make setting up and operating the palletizer extremely user-friendly.

Simple New Solution for Automatic Tray Forming

The Paxiom Group has expanded its line of tray formers with small businesses in mind. The cost-effective PopLok® VS series is an easy-to-operate automatic tray forming solution designed to erect self-locking corrugated and paperboard trays, with or without a lid.

While holding several similarities with its standard PopLok® predecessor, the primary differentiating features of the PopLok® VS include its ability to handle a tighter range of tray sizes and its simple design. With no mandrel or tooling required, the PopLok® VS Series also allows for a quick and easy change-over between tray blank sizes.

The economical PopLok® VS Series is capable of forming 1-tuck and 2-tuck trays at speeds of up to 600 trays per hour, helping small business operations to increase efficiency, eliminate repetitive motion injuries associated with manual labor, and achieve higher levels of productivity.

While the PopLok® VS Series offers speed in on-demand tray forming, the compact tray erector also saves floor space and minimizes risks for contamination associated with long-term storage of erected trays in production facilities.

Forming Unique Trays for Auto Parts, Hardware and Componentry

The PopLok ®, manufactured by EndFlex, is a customizable automatic tray forming solution designed to erect self-locking corrugated and paperboard trays with or without a lid. The PopLok ®, capable of forming 1-tuck, 2-tuck, and multi-tuck trays, is built in a heavy duty welded steel frame and constructed with durability and longevity in mind.

The PopLok ® operates efficiently by gently pulling tray blanks, one at a time, from the hopper to a forming section where precise plows then erect the side and end panels of the tray. At the same time, the minor flaps are folded and the tray finally passes through a set of side bars that fold and lock the roll-over flaps into place.

Using no glue or tape, the PopLok ® handles a large variety of blank sizes and configurations to produce an impressive finished tray. Delicate machine handling ensures that tray graphics are not marred in any way for retail-ready display requirements.
